Preschool available for children aged 2-5 years of age (15 hours a week of free quality childcare)
The Learning 2 programme is available to children and families that are getting one of the following:
- Income support
- Income-based jobseeker’s allowance (JSA)
- Income-related employment and support allowance (ESA)
- Support through part six of the immigration and asuylum act
- The guaranteed element of state pension credit
- Child tax credit and have an annual income not over £16,190
- The working tax credit four-week run on (The payment you get when you stop qualifying for working tax credit)
- You get working tax credits and earn no more than £16,190 a year.
A child is also eligible if any of the following apply:

- They have a current statement of special educational needs (SEN) or an education, health and care plan
- They get a Disability living allowance
- They’ve left care through special guardship or an adoption or residence order
- They are looked after by local authority
Working parents may also be eligible but they have to get a eligibility code from the My Childcare Choices website.
Rainbow House does not have any additional charges for funded places.

We currently have the following options for:
Morning session
9:00am – 12:00pm Monday to Friday (15 hours)
Afternoon session
12:00pm to 3:00pm Monday to Friday (15 Hours)
Full time
9:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday (30 hours)
We may be able to offer other options subject to availability but not less than 15 hours.
Charges will apply for those not eligible for funding or additional hours outside of the above times will be charged at the current rate:
£110 for 15 hours (£7.33 per hour).
From January 2026:
£125 for 15 hours (£8.33 per hour).
Terms and conditions:
If you are eligible for a funded place you have the following responsibility:
Provide proof of your eligibility for a funded place.
Complete a parent contract form.
Complete a local authority funding agreement.
Drop and collect your child from the setting on time.
Make sure your child attends regularly.
Inform us if your child can’t attend due to illness or some other serious reason.
Adhere to our policies and procedures.
Late collection fee for funded and fee paying children:
If you do not collect your child on time you will have to pay a late collection fee of £25.
Once you have registered for a place you MUST give us 4 weeks written notice if you want to withdraw your child.
The setting is closed for inset days, bank holidays and Eid. We do not charge for these days.
Fees do not cover lunch, nappies etc. these must be provided by parent.
Fees must be paid on time.
Late payments will incur a fine of £25.
Refunds are not given if the child is absent due to illness or family holiday.
Four weeks written notice is required before withdrawing your child.
Failure to pay fees on time may result in your child losing their place.
